Hey Everyone!!!
Well another week gone by in the field and still lovin it!
Tuesday we went to the Fuji family:s house for a lesson and meal. That was way fun as we taught a little girl in the ward getting ready to be baptized this week hopefully. It:s funny how shy she is and barely even talks to us.
Then afterwards Sister Fuji made homemade tenpura and it rocked!! I have scallops for the first time and love them!! She made such awesome food for us and then sent us home with potatoes and tons of nashi!! Way sweet!
On Wednesday i saw a pomegranate tree!!! How sweet is that!?? I have seen those, and kiwi trees, and nashi trees and all sorts of cool fruit trees!!
That day was also our wettest dendo day. We were totally soaked through after the bike ride when we started to dendo. But hey, its all good.
Friday we went to Takayama and have a comp exchange after district training meeting. we dendoed in their area with them and then spent the night there and came home saturday. way good time!
Then saturday i had my most sweaty dendo day thus far. The sweat was dripping off my helmet straps. So i have been wet in all the ways.. Just thought i would let you all know that...
Then yesterday after a great first fast sunday in japan we had dinner with the matsui family and had yakiniku!! the meat on the grill with all the veggies and great sauce!! it was so delicious!!!
it tore up my companion a little though. he was in and out of the bathroom for like 2 hours last night. but all is well.
we get along great and although we are by far not the same people at all, things work out. we have a good time!
Last week we housed into a lady named oda san that hopefully will become a new investigator!! this wednesday we are going back to visit and see what she thought of the plan of salvation pamphlet.
then this thursday is our first zone taikai (conference)! woot! that will be loads of fun.
alright now for the scripture of the week....D&C 93:1-2
Verily thus saith the Lord: it shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am;and that i am the true light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world...
i love how He is telling us what we must do to obtain truth, testimony. after showing our faith unto obedience, light will come into us, truth will come into us. as a missionary i have found the need to always be pleading with the Lord for strength and guidance.
i have also found that by doing so, we are more on the same page. i have found more charity, more kindness for all, and more Christlike attributes in my life as a result.
My challenge this week is for you all to try the same. Make your prayers the real heart felt kind that recieve answers. and if you do so, i can promise the lord will bless you with the added strength to accomplish anything thrown your way.i love you all and want you to know the CHURCH IS TRUE!!!let:s do the things we need to do to always be happy and feel the love of christ in our life always.
