Dinner and treats with Brian and Cindi and family on Friday evening

Brian, Cindi, Benjamin, Ashley, David and Emily met us at the Declo Stake Center for a BBQ pork dinner that we helped Garth put together with 125 pounds of pork to raise money for their Boy Scouts. After the meal was over Ashely wanted a treat, so we went to DQ in Burley. Laura, Rod, and girls also stopped by the church to say hello. It was great to have some time to visit.

Setting apart day for Aaron's mission

Aaron was set apart by Pres. Lane Sego on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Albuquerque, New Mexico West Stake Center. Pres. Sego had open heart surgery three weeks prior to this date. Aaron received great advice from Pres. Sego:

  • Be the missionary that is known through the mission grapevine for being obedient
  • Always be willing to do more than you are asked
  • Be careful even when you are stepping off the curb onto the street, be careful
  • Don't do anything stupid.

Aaron - First Day at the Temple

April 19, 2008
Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple
11:00 session

Aaron received his endowment at the Albquerque Temple. Steve and I were able to attend with him. His grandmother, Jane Merrill's cousin, Vern Payne, was at the temple that day. Aaron was able to visit with him about Jane's father and and Vern's father. We did sealings after the endowment session. Aaron had the opportunity to be a witness. Vern took time to tell Aaron more about his relatives. It was a great day!
