Haro!!! Hello!!
Hey all in America! Another week gone by and more stories to share!
Ok first off all, the reason I didn't email yesterday...it is transfer week so yesterday was cleaning day and today is pday...and the transfer news is...we are both staying together one more transfer and Todd Choro is now the new district leader!! So that's the news and reason for todays email...
Well, it is officially starting to cool off. It went from us sleeping with the fan on one night to getting out blankets the next! The daily weather rocks and is way nice, the nights are just starting to cool!
Ok so a funny story about a guy at his door the other night..
We were housing and I got to this door and instead of saying the usual *kekko* meaning no, he held his hands up in prayer position and said *uchi wa kore desu* meaning literally, my house is this, meaning really *oh no, i am this...* as he signaled to his hands. so I got some guy telling me that he was essentially Buddhist by telling me he was *this* and gesturing his hands in prayer position. kinda funny.
Alright, Tuesday...we had a way cool primary activity called senkyoshi ni naru *become a missionary* all about what they can do now to prepare. It was way fun to play around with the kids and have a good time.
Then Wednesday was my first interview day! We went to Kanazawa, the zone area, and had Pres interviews and it was way fun. I truly think I have the best President and Sister Mission Presidents ever. They are so awesome and loving that we can all feel it!
Thursday we had our 6th week eikaiwa (english class) party and played jeopardy! Way fun! And a new guy came named Kenta and is a college (uni as learned from Elder Todd) student. He is way cool and hopefully will come to church since he showed interest!
Friday I had my first flat tire! Riding home I realized it was low and then it was flat! So we got home and realized the valve stem was torn so today I will be buying a new tube! Woot! haha, my first flat.
Then Saturday we had an awesome dendo day. Like five hours of awesomeness!
Sunday a girl in the ward was baptized so i say my first baptism!!! haha, a little different kind but still awesome!
That night we went our dendoing and found this cool old guy. He was grilling and so we just said excuse me to begin teaching. He ended up giving us the grilled corn and we talked for like thirty minutes. He was a little drunk but still way cool. He showed us his sick yamaha motorcycle that we sat on and revved. He was telling us to take it for a ride but we sadly declined, since it is a little against the rules...but that was way fun!
Yesterday we cleaned and had a couple from the ward come do the checks and she had her little white gloves on and gave us a good check!
Oh, one thing from Todd Choro...his grandpa had prostate cancer before and recieved radiation. However, now it is looking like it could come back...he requested that Ian Todd (his grandpas name) be put in your prayers...thanks! I know our family has a strong network of prayer so lets do some more good!
Ok, scripture of the week...Helaman 10:3-4 (please look up)
It is Nephi pondering and recieving guidance...
I thought it would be nice to talk about this this week, recieving guidance from our leaders...I just love pres and sis traveller! They truly are the Lords servants called to lead the Nagoya mission. All of the Lords servants are called by revelation and can so much help our lives. Whenever I feel I need some extra help, through prayer, I recieve my answer. Whether through prompting or other means, leaders, family, etc. it comes.
This church is a church of much potential power! I hope you all are using that to your utmost ability and feeling the love!!
I love you all and wish you the best!
