Aaron's letter 9-14-08

Hey Everyone!
Well another week gone and more stories and goodness to share!!
Last tuesday i officially became a foreign resident!! I got my gaikokujin card
and am all set and ready to be officailly residing here!

Then last wednesday we had a kokan (exchange) and i dendoed with the district
leader elder hurley from highland utah. after a while we went to the beach and
had a good time looking over its awesomeness, which is all we can do as
missionaries, but it was still way beautiful!

then thursday was my first some taikai (conference)!!!
such an amazingly good time! president and sister traveller and the best ever
and so are all the great missionaries here!

Previous to the conference I had been wondering how to really have efffective
dendo and just wondering how to be successful with housing and companion
relationship and just everything as a missionary. then during the conference
pres and sister traveller sand *teach me to walk in the light* and i felt so
good! I totally felt the love of our Saviour Jesus Christ and know that He is
always watching out for us!! I know, even more now, that our sincere desires of
the heart WILL be answered! That was the best first zone taikai ever!

Friday we found a new investigator! His name is Inamoto san and said we could
come back next friday and visit with him more and see how the reading went from
the plan of salvation pamphlet! So that was awesome!

Saturday was possibly the best dendo day i have had yet. We went to this
aweomse area and taught lots of lessons and things just went awesomely! It
seems like after taikai, things have just been more sweet! The Lord must be
looking out for us or something...:)

Then saturday night we had a lesson with takahatta san and it too was amazing!
She is way into it all and once we can get her to church i really think baptism
will become more of a reality! She just has this service thing every sunday but
from october to january she has a break from it, WOO HOO!

Oh, on a side note, i got my japanese name tag! So people can now better read
my name!!

Then yesterday we had an amazing sunday, just great talks and everything! I
actually play the piano in priesthood meeting....funny story...they found out
that i like to sing and from there, asked me to play. so i use that simplified
hymn book and do what i can! so far i have done the two that i learned before,
now let us rejoice and we thank thee oh god for a prophet...haha so good times!!
next sunday president and sister traveller are coming and speaking in our ward
and i am singing oh lord my redeemer. it will be loads of fun! After church
they are also giving a fireside that should be way good!

Ok, now for the scripture of the week!
D&C 97 8 and 88 119 (this weeks letter is a little longer so i won:t type
them this time, but please look them up!)
So the reason i chose these two are because i love them! Haha no i just really
like how the 97 tells us that those of us who know our own hearts and are doing
to things we need, will be *accepted of me*. It:s a personal thing...we need to
have that virtue inside us to do the things we know are true. If we can
honestly look inside ourselves and feel good about life, we are set!! then in 88
is the famous setting our homes in order scripture and tells us one way of
finding peace and joy. i am using it as a way to find this inner peace of
virtue. it is so important that we strive to find the love of christ always in
our lives and then strive to be as clean as we can to utmost benefitial of His
blessings!

I hope all is well with everyone and that you are evermore realizing
the joy of the gospel everyday!

Ai shite imasu!
