Well another week gone by (haha well i guess two!) and some great news!!!!
I will just tell it now because i don:t want to wait until the end...we have our first baptism scheduled!!!!!! Sakabayashi san accepted baptism on the 30th of this month and it is a first for both Elder Koyama and myself. WOOOO HOOOO!!!
Let me just tell you that God really knows us and helps all His children find the path! We totally felt His help throughout this process of trying to get Sakabayashi san to baptism. Fasting and prayer truly work and never forget that!
Now, the reason i wasn:t on last week was because everything was closed so we just skipped a week of email....nothing wrong with us at all, no worries.
Basically that good news with Sakabayashi san is the best thing that has happened lately. We went with a member to her business/home yesterday and talked about baptism and she again told us how she wanted to receive it before the next transfer when one of us leaves and then accepted the 30th as the day!! Man, this is the life!
So, please keep her and us in your prayers that everything will continue through as planned. She currently has a lot of inner turmoil going on and just needs strenghtening from the Spirit. She is so ready and will be fine just needs that comfort!
Well things are still pretty darn cold here but no snow. I finally got the long desired boots that now keep my feet dry and warm!! Its amazing the difference!!haha
Well not tons to say besides the amazing news already said....
Its not the longest i have written by any means but that:s ok...
i will however end with my grown testimony...
I can tell you all without a doubt that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows each of us. He is always watching, helping and guiding us. The past while i have only come to know of this more stronger and am hoping you all can feel of that as well. Also, i know that our older brother, Jesus Christ, did sacrifice deeply for each of us. That sacrifice, the Atonement, is our greatest source of joy in this life. Through it, all things wonderful are made possible. Truly, we can become such better and happier people through the use of the miraculous Atonement.
I also know that Joseph Smith met God the Father and Jesus Christ. Then, through that experience, the Book of Mormon was brought forth. This book, the most true and awesome of all books, is God:s word. I can honestly testify of that. I love reading from it every day and finding new points of grown testimony!
The church must be true for all the blessing we enjoy! No doubt in my being about it.
I love you all and may you all continue to realize the joy and blessing of the gospel and then share it with others is my truest desire!!
Love you!
Elder Parks
(p.s. if you are able to make it, we are having a baptismal service for Sakabayashi san on the 30th of January, and you are all invited!!)hehe

OH MY GOSH!
I freak out if their emails don't come at about the same time each week.
Miss a week and I would be in full panic!
We are use to the email coming in later or on another date. He travels a lot and we also understand the holidays in Japan. But it is nice to hear from him each week.
So excited for their baptism coming up. That is soooo cool. Some missionaries come home from Japan without having a baptism.
